Born in Hong Kong to a British father and Hong Kong–Chinese mother, Bruce Ashbourne brings a globally attuned perspective shaped by a multicultural upbringing and international education. He holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Master in Banking and Finance (MBF) from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), one of Europe’s leading institutions for finance and management.

Bruce began his career navigating cross-border capital flows and early-stage investments, later channeling that experience into founding Ashbourne & Sons, a Singapore-based family office focused on fintech innovation, founder liquidity, and strategic refinancing. With a keen eye for emerging technologies and a deep respect for legacy systems, he leads the firm with a disciplined, long-term approach to capital deployment.

Fluent in both finance and culture, Bruce is known for his discretion, analytical rigor, and ability to build lasting partnerships across geographies and generations.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Samuel Ashbourne combines deep regional insight with a global perspective shaped by elite academic and professional experience. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), followed by a Master’s in Finance from ETH Zurich, one of Europe’s most prestigious technical universities.

Samuel’s career spans investment banking, venture capital, and strategic advisory across Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Ashbourne & Son, he led cross-border fintech transactions and advised growth-stage founders on capital strategy, exits, and corporate development. His analytical rigor and hands-on operational knowledge make him a trusted partner for portfolio companies and co-investors alike.

As Managing Director, Samuel oversees deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio execution across fintech, alternative finance, and founder liquidity strategies. He brings a disciplined yet entrepreneurial mindset to every mandate, aligning capital with innovation in markets that demand both precision and vision.

Alexandra Wu serves as Chief Investment Officer at Ashbourne & Son, where she leads the firm’s global investment strategy across fintech, venture capital, and private capital markets. With over 15 years of experience in cross-border investing, Alexandra brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to portfolio construction and capital allocation.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alexandra earned her undergraduate degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She later completed her MBA at INSEAD, studying across its France and Singapore campuses, where she deepened her expertise in international markets and institutional asset management.

Before joining Ashbourne & Son, Alexandra held senior roles in both investment banking and private equity, including with global firms in Hong Kong, London, and Singapore. Her track record includes guiding fintech scale-ups through Series B+ rounds, stewarding exits for growth-stage founders, and advising family offices on alternative asset strategy.

At Ashbourne & Son, she oversees deal diligence, risk management, and capital deployment, with a focus on long-term value and innovation at the intersection of finance and technology. Alexandra is known for her analytical clarity, global perspective, and steady leadership through volatile markets.
